Thanks to Gail Mitchell for allowing the pictures of her son Kieran to be used.
It gave me a breather and allowed me to do jobs (shopping etc) and spend some time with my husband. It was also good for him to spend time with his peers.
I am very grateful for giving him the opportunity to have fun in a safe environment. Would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and those who organised the scheme.
He really enjoys the scheme and the activities it has to offer.
He enjoys the playscheme and the opportunity to mix with other children and young adults.
It breaks up the long summer holidays for both of us.
The activities are varied and ideal for him as he loves trampolining, swimming and horse riding. The leader was approachable and flexible. The visual timetable was useful. The most valuable thing is that there is a good ratio of staff to children and that these members of staff understand about ASD. Thank you so much.
We are extremely grateful to you all for enabling him to have an opportunity to have fun in safe environment. He loves coming to sessions and even now keeps asking to go again. The letters received prior to the scheme were very clear and informative. The staff are fantastic with both parents and children, making time to listen to parent's concerns and looking after the family as a whole. The staff told us all about the day - something he cannot do. Having trained staff enables parents to relax, knowing that our children are safe and happy. For a lot of children this scheme is the only one suitable to cater for their needs. Personally, I do not know what our family would do without you. He enjoyed having fun with you and the sense of routine helped him relax. He has been agitated since it finished and six weeks is a long time! We look forward to next years' scheme.
